Welcome to Yoganic.

A small, intentional yoga and wellness studio in Singapore — built on the belief that you do not need to arrive calm, flexible, or certain.

Every class, session, and retreat is designed to meet you exactly where you are. The approach is psychology-informed, the spaces are intimate, and the practice holds the whole person — not just the body.

Whether you are new to yoga, returning after a break, or simply looking for somewhere honest to breathe — you are welcome here.

Founder & Lead Teacher

Hello — I’m Tien.

Yoga teacher · psychology-informed · former psychologist, special education teacher, and national volleyball player.

I built Yoganic because I believe everyone deserves a space to come home to themselves.

Off the mat, I am someone who takes her coffee very seriously, wanders slowly through cities she has never seen before, and considers doing nothing a genuine — and underrated — skill. I believe that learning to move slowly through life, not just through a yoga class, is one of the more quietly radical things you can do.

This is what I try to bring into the room with me.

Origin Story

The long way round.

I came to yoga through stress — specifically, the kind that accumulates quietly over years.

Before I was a yoga teacher, I was a psychologist, a special education teacher, and a former national volleyball player. I spent years in high-pressure environments learning what it looks and feels like when a nervous system is pushed to its limit.

I know what it means to perform, to hold it together, to keep going. And I know — very personally — what it costs.

Yoga came later. And when it did, it was not the poses I fell in love with. It was the permission it gave me to slow down. To notice. To come back to myself. That is the practice I want to offer you.

How I Teach

Yoga with a little psychology in it.

My background is unusual for a yoga teacher. I hold a degree in psychology, a certification in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (and others), and years of experience working with individuals across a wide range of abilities, ages, and challenges.

When you come to a Yoganic class, you are not just moving through poses. You are learning to listen to your body, to work with your nervous system, and to build a practice that holds you — not just physically, but mentally, emotionally & spiritually.

I teach in English and Mandarin, and I believe yoga is for everyone — regardless of age, flexibility, or whether you have ever set foot on a mat before.

“A gentle place to ground, to breathe, and to find the wholeness you already carry.”

★★★★★

“Tien creates a calm and supportive environment, always explaining each pose clearly and offering helpful modifications to accommodate different abilities.”

The Teachers in This Space

Yoganic is a small, intentional space — and for a long time, it was just me. It still mostly is.

But occasionally, I invite other teachers to come and hold space here. Not to fill a gap, but because the right person, in the right room, can offer something I cannot — a different rhythm, a different depth, a different way of helping you arrive.

When I bring another teacher into Yoganic, I ask something specific of them. I ask that they come with a genuine personal practice — not just a qualification, but a lived relationship with their own body and breath. I ask that they understand how safety works in a room: that people carry stories with them when they step onto a mat, and that a good teacher makes space for those stories without ever needing to name them. I ask that they teach from presence, not performance.

Most importantly, I ask that they care. Not about looking like a good teacher — but about the person in front of them.

If you ever find yourself in a class led by one of these teachers, know that they are here because they are trusted. And because I believe they will take good care of you.
